Nordic Raga, what is that? Being very inspired by indian music, I have been exploring my own inner raga as a Nordic person, with no hindi blood in my veins I therefore call it Nordic Raga.
It’s very simple and meditative music accepting the boring in the repetitions until you forget it’s boring and starts to let it roll, digging in to the small details and the slow development that is actually in there.
Very optimal to be played live in churches, halls, as background listening while working on something else or even as a live supplement to a conversation!

August can be booked as Live/DJ for special live events and party’s. This act is not purely DJ’ing, but do involve some live playing as well. The music is based on remixes of some of August’a previous works as well as other selected material.
This is not the usual “mass production” DJ set that probably bores you already, but music selected by a passionated music lover, who like to to explore and mix new and old stuff. As long as it’s groovy:-)

This trio was founded after the first Global Units Session in January 2011, where August meet the recorder player Pernille Petersen and the Trombone player Ture Larsen. August was invited to play at the Athelas New Music Festival 2011, doing a commissioned rework of Henning Christians Perceptive Constructions, and it felt very natural to use the TAP trio in this concert. The concert can be heard below.
The trio play both Composed and Improvised music and do therefore kindly ask composers who would like to write music for the trio to keep room for improvisation as well.

The band members meet during the 2nd and 3rd Global Units Session spring 2011. The first single are ready to be released on Brumtone Fall 2011,

The Global Units session is based on improvised meetings between artists from all kinds of musical genres. August Has performed At the World Expo In China, Shanghai 2010, playing with Musicians he never had meet before. As well he played at the Stockholm Culture week 2010 and he participated in most of the Copenhagen Sessions in 2011.
The booking of this concept has to be arranged with August, who are also the founder of global units.

A combination of Story telling, Eastern folklore rhythms, German Chansons, Jazz, Gipsy style inspired ballads as well as electronically treated beats and sounds – all together best described as “Urban Chansons“.
